^4th Conference – year 2017:

Fortifications, defence systems, structures and features in the past (main organizer: Tatjana Tkalčec)

The 4^th Conference on Mediaeval Archaeology of the Institute of Archaeology was held on the 7^th – 9^th of June 2017 in the cooperation with the Croatian Institute of History.

A total of 123 scholars from 16 countries  (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey) took part at the conference and have discussed the topics through 74 lectures and 14 posters.

The topic of the conference was focused on needs and solutions for defence and fortifications through the past societies.
